I'm sad there won't be any more Zombie LARPs. I only attended two and the third was the vampire hunter one. I wish I'd found out about you guys sooner. I tell everyone about what you guys have achieved and they all day "that sounds AWESOME" Reading this just reminded me of how awesome those zlarp days were and how much I looked forward to them and chatted about them afterwards. A great big ball of adrenaline, fear and panic rolled into an entire day - fantastic. Basically, I'm just trying to say, be damned proud of it and bloody come back and do it again!!

Aaaah, the sweet smell of pigeonshit victory! That crawl to the exit was awesome. I'm the one on the left pinning down a white knight in the play area above. Sad to hear you guys moved away! All the best down there.

I was so gutted when the announcement came across that there would never be another. Best, most exhilarating and immersive LARP I've ever attended. I was honoured to be your mascot, and when I find my blood stained nurse's cap, perhaps I can post it to you as a keepsake?

http://smg.photobucket.com/user/RubberDucky01/media/294099_578343805071_2004466101_n_zps1b44cdf0.jpg.html My favourite Nursey photo, although not smiling.

I remember that time you saved my life. I had one of those godawful double barrel shot guns, and it inevitably jammed. As the horde shambled in, I kept frantically spamming the trigger and collapsed against the wall in the dark basement with an awesome blood curdling scream (it felt like one of the best screams I've ever screamed!) and you ducked in and pulled me out of the onslaught. I don't know how cool it looked, but it felt pretty damned good! It would have been a great way to die as well, though.

So, in conclusion, ULTIMATE COSMIC POWER! I only attended the one game of Zombie LRP, and it was the event you were writing about. I've got to say it really was fantastic, the rules system was just complex enough to give it nuance, but you could easily remember most of it even while running away screaming.
Are you not planning to run some in Oz? I hear they're big on horror AR down there and it would be a shame if they didn't get a chance to have a go!

I've now been in three games of Fallen, all of which had very different types of 'Gods' in very different settings. My favourite so far has been ‘unknowable alien beings’ in a ‘Modern Suburban’ setting, with the theme of ‘Death’ and the twist of ‘Blood’. The hardest to make a world for was a ‘preindustrial’ civilisation with Gods that were’ Parts of the same being’ all set in ‘A single human being’. The theme of ‘Magic’ and the twist of ‘Fire’ were played to the hills.
